BFF’s Get Free: Rachel Logan Allen

Rachel Logan Allen (age 34 at the time of the recording) is public health researcher doing health services and sexual reproductive health equity work using a reproductive justice lens. Initially wanting to become a medical doctor, she was eventually introduced to the field of public health. She then interrogated critical theories on race, gender, and systemic oppression in her public health work.

As a “non-Floridian” residing in Florida, Rachel came to Get Free with the goal of meeting other people working in Florida. This is especially critical when “Black people aren't safe, queer people, trans people aren't safe. Poor people are on the chopping block.”
